Working within the federal technology, science, and engineering services arenas, Mark Abel has served over 25 years as a successful business development professional.  As a Vice President of Business Development for a multi-billion dollar corporation, he managed annual growth plans and strategies for a $900 million business unit . During this period, Mark was successful in capturing multiple federal contracts, and was formally recognized for his direct contributions to significant $100+ million capture efforts.

Mark has experience in a wide variety of federal agencies within the defense, intelligence, and civilian sectors.  He is seasoned in strategic planning, capture development, proposal support, competitive positioning, teaming partner evaluation and selection, and marketing strategies. 

Mark is active in the industry.  He serves on the Board of Advisors for SMS Inc., is an active member of American Council for Technology/ Industry Advisory Council, past Industry Chair of the Management of Change Conference, and member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.   He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Towson State University.
